About Dr. Alisa Freedman

Dr. Alisa Freedman, University of Oregon

Alisa Freedman is an Associate Professor of Japanese Literature and Film at the University of Oregon. She has published articles and edited special journal issues on Japanese modernism, Tokyo studies, youth culture, gender, television, humor as social critique, teaching pedagogies, and intersections of literature and digital media, along with translations of Japanese literature. She is Editor-in-Chief of the U.S.-Japan Women’s Journal.
