The story follows Aoi Miyamori as a production assistant at the fictional Musashino Animation, giving viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the anime production process through a comedic and dramatic lens. The title “Shirobako” refers to the “white box” containing pre-release videos distributed to the production staff.
