Kizuna Friendship Group: Obon Dance
Kizuna showcases authentic Japanese culture at local events through performances, obon dances, tea ceremonies, and showing people how to wear yukata.
Based in Springfield, MO, they began performing at the Springfield Japanese Festival and in 2011 adopted the name Kizuna, meaning “bond”. Their name symbolizes the deep connection we have with Japanese and American culture, with us and our audience, as well as the bonds between each member of the group.
