Madoka Koguchi Sings Ghibli Favorites & J-Pop

Singer Madoka Koguchi 小口窓花 returns to the KC Japan Fest stage for two performances featuring beloved Studio Ghibli songs, J-Pop, anime favorites, and more.

Madoka Koguchi is a singer, actor, dancer, and co-founder of YUKARI KC, a nonprofit organization for the Japanese community in the Kansas City metro.

Originally from Tokyo, Japan, Madoka graduated from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York in 2017 before joining the Broadway National Tour of Miss Saigon in 2018. She relocated to Kansas City during the pandemic in 2020, where she continues to pursue her passion for musical theater. Her recent credits include the role of Mary Magdalene in Jesus Christ Superstar at Music Theater Heritage, along with other local productions.

Beyond the stage, Madoka is committed to building a lighthouse for the Japanese community through YUKARI KC, a space where Japanese people can feel at home and those with Japanese heritage can reconnect with their culture. Through “unapologetically Japanese” events and experiences, YUKARI KC brings people together, elevates one another, and builds lasting connections.
