Madoka Koguchi 小口窓花

Madoka is an actor, singer, dancer and co-founder of Natsu Matsuri KC from Tokyo, Japan.

After graduating from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy New York in 2017, she joined the Broadway national tour of Miss Saigon. When the pandemic shut down the Broadway industry, she relocated to Kansas City in 2020 to help found the community-based Vietnamese coffee shop, Cafe Cà Phê. While working and building the community through Cafe Cà Phê, she was also seen in Legally Blonde (KC Starlight) and A Chorus Line (MTH). She will be featured in the musical Little Women at MTH early next year.

Madoka is also a Japanese community event organizer in greater Kansas City, and she recently co-hosted KC’s first Japanese summer festival Natsu Matsuri KC with Chikara Hibino as well as Shinnen-kai and Ohanami.

She is committed to bringing Japanese/Asian representation to KC and beyond, and is passionate about connecting and providing safe space for the AANHPI community.
