Greater Kansas City Japan Festival
Johnson County Community College
October 1, 2016 | 10:00am - 7:00pm

Thank you for your interest in coming to the Greater Kansas City Japan Festival! The GKCJF is a one-day festival held annually at Johnson County Community College. We're dedicated to educating and entertaining the Greater Kansas City Metro Area through an introduction to Japanese culture. For more information about the festival, please visit our website at http://www.kcjapanfestival.org/.

The following form is for presenters, lecturers, demonstrators, and more - anyone interested in hosting some sort of educational or entertainment-based programming at the Greater Kansas City Japan Festival. While the festival typically invites several guest speakers, panelists, and demonstrators on our own, who better knows what attendees want to see than the attendees themselves? Now you have a say in what we bring to Japan Fest - by becoming part of Japan Fest as more than just an attendee.

Perks of hosting panels, up to one hour of total content:
- Free admission to GKCJF for you and all participants directly involved in hosting your panel.
- Your name and panel info in our programming book.

Perks of hosting panels, over an hour of total content:
- Free admission to GKCJF for you and all participants directly involved in hosting your panel.
- Your name and panel info in our programming book.
- Free GKCJF t-shirt and keychains.

Have a topic you want to talk about? Are you really enthusiastic about a hobby that comes from Japan? Working on a paper or presentation about a Japan-related topic, and want to present? Hosting a panel is fun, engaging, and gets others involved in topics you're enthusiastic about! All programming must relate to Japanese culture, art, education, lifestyle, history, etc. Programming events that relate to the 2016 'Undokai / Sports Day' theme will typically be given precedence over unrelated programming.

Please fill out this form in its entirety. After completing this form, Festival Director Katrina Schulze will contact you via email with more information about the festival and the status of your application. Please submit multiple forms for separate panels. Repeated presentations of a single panel may be indicated in this form.

All applications must be submitted by August 15th, 2016.
Programming timeslots are first-come, first-serve, after acceptance from the GKCJF.
